The project via the Cæli
In the view of the National Strategic Plan for the air Mobility advanced, the project “Via Cæli” of Bitjam want to accelerate the introduction of services with drones, self-employed in the city, creating a corridor of the flight and safely with the Tiber river as a natural path for the transport of goods, as happened in ancient Rome.
With low population density, the river will become an area of air traffic consistent, with a fleet of drones, autonomous, managed by IA, to use as a test for future implementations citizens of the U-space.
The project is scalable and replicable in every city, crossed by a river.
The project fits in the market of the fast transport of small goods in the city, monitoring of the facilities and the environment, the collection of data of different nature (traffic, water quality and air, etc.).
The use of drones, the electrical, the transport of goods, reducing vehicular traffic in the streets traditional, contributes to the reduction of the environmental impact.
In addition, the whole system will be energy self-sufficient, powered by renewable energy sources such as hydroelectric, solar and wind farms.

The technology of interest for the communications with both internal (management of the fleet and of the autonomous flight) and external (exchange of information with the U-space) is certainly that of 5G.
The fleet will be managed by an AI via a small control towers.
These may be prepared, for example, in the street lights located along the course of the river. One of the goals of the project is to transform these objects into smart devices equipped with communication systems and housings for modules and sensors that can be rented to other companies to provide its services.

The project requires large volumes of data exchanged at high speed considering its delicate, operational characteristics.

The identification of a test zone to the north of Rome and begin your testing activities.
The vertiporti will be spaces floating already present on the Tiber river.
Once contracted, the rental, the vertiporti will be customized with the colors of the project (or the company's main partner) and later, equipped with all the technical elements that are useful for the testing.
